Looking stop motion job in China

Since I am not yet sure whether I can stay and work in the UK after graduation, I hope that if I return to China, I can work in the stop-motion animation industry. China’s stop-motion animation industry is a very niche industry. I made a summary based on my previous exposure and searches on the Internet.

The following are the stop-motion animation studios and companies that I know of in China.

Among the above-mentioned companies and studios, I have interned in a studio in Chengdu, but their main creative staff has not changed since 7 years ago. They will basically only work with some local college students to help with short-term projects. I submitted my resume to the studio in Shenyang three years ago and received a reply. However, because I had to go back to the UK to study at that time, they hoped that if I went to work there, I could join their team for a long time, so I didn’t join. The studio in Hangzhou has been cooperating with some graduates for a long time, and they will also teach during the filming. On some projects, a few people will be recruited to collaborate and help. I plan to try to submit my resume to several other companies on the list if I go back to China.

Deyue Pictures and Qitong Animation, their art is very beautiful. As for the animators, they have relatively high requirements for animation, including accidental freeze-frame and moisturizing freeze-frame. In terms of producing large-scale stop-motion animation films, Dust Stop and Steam Factory are currently at the scale that can complete stop-motion animation films in China.
